August - September, 2014---Composed music for two promotional trailers introducing THE MARSCHER LORDS film, coming in 2015. This will be a short film initially, and possibly soon be a feature film as well. The story is interesting - In the Age of Chivalry, Two Brothers Face the Ultimate Test: Will the Desire for Self-Preservation & Material Wealth Preclude that of Duty to One's Fellow Man? Set in Medieval times, the music had to reflect not only the intense age of knights, kings, and chivalry, but it also had to reflect a modern action & film score sensibility. Think suspense, intrigue, beauty and heroism for the music tracks.

The film stars Robert E. Wilhelm (IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4990021/?ref_=fn_al_nm_6) and Edwin H. Bravo (IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2430511/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1).

November 2013 to March, 2014---Composed an original soundtrack inspired by the graphic novel DENVER. This mature graphic novel (comic book) was created by
www.paperfilms.com - who are writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray. DENVER also features the American Graphic Novel debut of illustrator Pier Brito, who's exceptional illustration work can be found here: http://www.pierbrito.blogspot.com/

The project was unconventional to work on, in that it consisted of composing "score" or soundtrack music inspired by still images from a comic book. Not being a music soundtrack in the conventional sense in that it's not connected to a film or moving images was a super fun challenge! A challenge that was met with lots of passion for this unique and ultra fun composing experience!

The final music inspired by the DENVER comic book  is in the combined sci-fi, action and electronic styles. Both intense and atmospheric, the music is an interesting aural companion to the graphic novel of the same name.

The DENVER music soundtrack was first published and released as a digital download in the .mp3 file format on May 2nd, 2014, and available only to the Kickstarter backers of the graphic novel project who purchased it. The Denver music album was then subsequently released for a brief period as an .mp3 download to the general public at Paperfilms Official website in 2014. It was then made available to download in higher resolution music file formats at Bandcamp's music site in 2017.

November 1999--Recorded and produced an excerpts CD (13 minutes long) of music from and inspired by the Original Motion Picture score to Boneshakers. The music on this CD represents more of a pop/techno element that was inspired by themes and ideas from the original score to BONESHAKERS.

It was shot in and around the city of San Francisco. The plot centers on a group of enterprising kidnappers who kidnap homeless people and sell their body parts. The film was shot in 8mm/Black and White and is a surreal fantasy in the style of the original Twilight Zone series and the old Dragnet TV episodes. The musical style of these instrumental cues is old fashioned in nature: 1950's atomic age TV music in the style of Bernard Herrmann and old thriller/B sci-fi movies. The end titles have a cool swing/lounge feeling; sort of like a happy chewing gum commercial from the late 50's or early 60's.

Syd Mead, the subject of the scored interview, did production design work on the films Blade Runner and Aliens, as well as many others. The musical style of the instrumental cues is sci-fi/ambient/electronic.

June 1997--Recorded and produced my first CD of all Original compositions on my own Impala Records label. The album, entitled Sea Of Dreaming, is an eclectic mix of instrumental pieces that contain styles ranging from light Jazz and Pop to electronic/New Age and Classical.
